8 Tesla Maintenance Mistakes That Will Wreck Your Car Before 100,000 Miles {19:56}

A video transcript outlining the critical maintenance mistakes Tesla owners make due to the misconception that electric vehicles require no upkeep.

Key Details:

  • Battery charging: Charge to 80% for daily driving on long-range/performance models; ⁴ to 100% nightly nearly doubles battery wear. Always pre-condition the battery via navigation before using a Supercharger in cold weather.
  • Tire wear: Teslas are heavy and torque-heavy, wearing tires 2x faster than average cars. Base Model Y owners can spend $5,000–$7,000 on tires over 100,000 miles; shop at Costco, Discount Tire, or Walmart instead of Tesla service centers.
  • Tire rotation: Tesla recommends rotation every 6,250 miles. Rear tires wear 2–3x faster; regular rotation saves $800–$1,600 per set.
  • Brake calipers: Regenerative braking means mechanical brakes rarely engage, causing corrosion and seized calipers — up to $3,600 to fix all four corners. Lube calipers every 12 months and periodically apply hard braking to clean rotors.
  • Brake fluid: Absorbs moisture over time; Tesla recommends checking every 4 years. A flush costs $100–$200 and prevents brake failure in emergencies.
  • 12V battery: Powers doors, locks, and the touchscreen. Failure can trap occupants inside. Pre-2022 lead-acid batteries last 3–5 years; replacement costs $85–$125 via Tesla mobile service.
  • Suspension (control arm): A design flaw affects 700,000+ Model 3 and Y vehicles — a sealed ball joint traps water and corrodes, typically failing between 40,000–70,000 miles. Creaking or popping from the front end warrants immediate inspection.
  • Cabin air filter: Should be replaced every 2 years. DIY replacement costs $15–$30 vs. $150–$200 at a Tesla service center. Neglect leads to mold growth and foul AC odors.
  • Software updates: Tesla issues safety recalls via OTA updates — skipping them means driving with known defects that Tesla has already patched.

Why It Matters: Despite Tesla's "no maintenance needed" reputation, there is a full service schedule buried in the owner's manual — following it costs roughly $500–$600/year, while ignoring it can lead to thousands in repairs and serious safety risks.

7 months ago I showed you the video of Kentucky State Trooper Seth Owens arresting Devin Langsdorf during a traffic stop, as Devin’s 3 year old daughter was in the backseat. After beating him, Trooper Owens charged Devin with speeding, reckless driving, failure to produce insurance, failure to maintain insurance, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, no registration receipt, and endangering the welfare of a minor. Trooper Owens really threw the book at Devin. At the time I covered the incident 7 months ago, the charges were still pending. But now, just a few days ago, these criminal charges went to a jury trial. And rather than hear it from me, I want you to hear from the actual lawyer who tried that case - and he’s a good one. All criminal charges were dropped by jury.

Build Your Own AI Agent: From Concept to Automation in Under 20 Mins ⚙️ | ClickUp - YouTube [6:12]

| length 6:22| pub 2025-11-13 | YT|@ClickUp| This video outlines eight key steps for building an AI agent to automate workflows without requiring programming expertise. Unlike simple conversational AI, agentic AI can independently execute tasks such as triaging reports, scheduling, or managing data (0:24-0:49).

The 8-Step Framework for Building an AI Agent:

Define Goals (0:54-1:26): Determine the agent's specific purpose (e.g., support, marketing, QA) and the core task it will handle. Gather Tools & Information (1:27-2:10): Equip the agent with necessary data (FAQs, intake forms) and integrations with tools like CRM or email to execute tasks. Choose Technology (2:11-2:58): Skip complex coding by using no-code platforms like ClickUp, which utilize building blocks like triggers, instructions, and knowledge bases. Map the Workflow (2:59-3:28): Use tools like ClickUp Whiteboards to visually outline the agent’s logic and design its interaction style (tone/feedback loops). *Curate Data (3:47-4:29): Ensure the agent's learning material (policies, handbooks, manuals) is organized, clean, and well-labeled. Build and Train (4:30-5:03): Input your data, define triggers and conditions, and configure the actions the agent should perform. Test and Pilot (5:04-5:41): Perform unit, user, and AB testing to refine accuracy, speed, and command execution. Deploy and Monitor (5:42-6:13): Launch the agent and continue to monitor its performance, making updates as needs evolve.
