America’s New Windowless Plane Is Shaking The Entire Aviation Industry - YouTube [20:43]
Aerodynamic Efficiency: By removing windows, the Phantom 3500 maintains a laminar flow fuselage, which significantly reduces drag (35%) and cuts fuel consumption by roughly half (5:30 - 6:05). Micro fatigue around windows is responsible for significant down time and crashes. Cameras and fiber optics allow passengers to view outside.
United States Stopped 93 of Hitler’s 97 Flying Bombs [38:10]
On the night of 28 August 1944, 97 German flying bombs crossed the Channel toward London. Four arrived. Ten weeks earlier the guns that stopped the rest had needed 2,500 shells to hit a single one. What changed was not an airplane.
In this documentary:
• The Fi 103 / V-1: 5,090 Reichsmarks, plywood wings, an Argus pulse jet and 850 kg of Amatol — the first cruise missile
• Crossbow: the photo interpreter who found it, the ski sites, 122,000 tons of bombs and six months bought for D-Day
• Diver: 13 June 1944, Grove Road, the Guards Chapel, and three defensive layers in the wrong order
• The Tempest that could not catch it in level flight — and the geometry that did; Joseph Berry's 59½
• The Meteor: Britain's first jet, a jammed cannon and a wingtip
• The most courageous decision of the war: the whole gun belt moved to the beach in days
• SCR-584, the M9 director and the VT proximity fuze — the most secret American weapon short of the atomic bomb, banned over land until the flying bomb
• 17% to 82%: the graph that ended the campaign
• Double Cross: every German spy in England worked for MI5, and the bombs fell short
• Aphrodite and Joe Kennedy Jr · He 111 air launches · Manchester on Christmas Eve
• Antwerp X: the American command that reached 97.8%
• The JB-2 Loon: America copies the buzz bomb in two months — and the road to the cruise missile

China Just Built the World's First 4-Seat Electric Plane (And It's Already Certified) [25:20]
[Desc] A 4-seat electric aircraft called the RX4E, built by the Liaoning General Aviation Academy (LGAA) in Shenyang, China, just became the world's first electric plane certified for commercial passenger flights under Part 23 regulations. While Western aviation startups like Beta Technologies and Bye Aerospace have spent years and billions of dollars trying to get their electric aircraft certified by the FAA, this Chinese university lab quietly built, tested, and certified theirs in December 2024. The RX4E features a carbon fiber composite airframe, an Emrax electric motor from Slovenia with over 92% efficiency, Garmin G500 avionics, and a 69.1 kWh battery that costs just $10 to fully charge. Compare that to a Cessna 182, which burns $98 per hour in leaded aviation fuel alone. The RX4E's total operating cost sits at $40 to $60 per hour versus $150 to $250 for the Cessna, and its battery can be swapped in just 3 minutes, eliminating the need for expensive airport charging infrastructure. The RX4E has a range of 162 nautical miles, a cruise speed of 108 knots, and a purchase price of roughly $600,000 comparable to a new Cessna 182.

FAA halts flights at El Paso airport for security reasons - The Washington Post
News later in day reported:
FAA closes, then reopens airspace around El Paso: The Federal Aviation Administration briefly halted all flights to and from El Paso International Airport citing “special security reasons.” Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said in a social media post the FAA and the War Department “acted swiftly to address a cartel drone incursion. The threat has been neutralized and there is no danger to commercial travel in the region.”
News next day Feb 12
Officials are offering conflicting explanations for an abrupt airspace closure around El Paso International Airport in Texas late Tuesday into Wednesday morning. The Trump administration cited a Mexican cartel drone incursion, while sources told major media outlets the ground stop was tied to US military tests of counter-drone technology.
